Grace Baptist Church, Canton, Ohio, is thankful to have expanded its building.
The congregation had been meeting on Sunday mornings in two separate worship services. But an addition to the building included a new worship center that seats the entire congregation in one service.
“There’s joy being in the same room,” Pastor Dave Ryan told the Canton Repository. “But it’s not about the building. It’s about serving God and making Christ known.”
With the larger worship center also came additional parking, along with a new foyer, office suite, and youth ministry area.
Ken Floyd, pastor of leadership development, says the expansion is “an investment for future generations.”
When the expansion was complete, the congregation and staff hosted an open house, welcoming the community to tour the building, learn about the church’s ministries, and explore the church’s history since its founding in March 1967.
