Joel Harriman retired from Faith Baptist Church of North Chili, Rochester, New York, where he was pastor for 17 years. He had served in ministry for 47 years.
“His ministry has been characterized by loving care of the church family, faithful teaching of the Word, and ongoing maintenance of facilities,” the church says. And his “gentle approach to ministry has resulted in 17 years of unity and peace.”
The church hosted a retirement dinner June 23, followed by an afternoon service in which guests shared their memories of Joel’s service as pastor.
His last day of ministry was the following Sunday, June 30.
