Grace Baptist Church, Lima, Ohio, celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Bill Higley, youth pastor at the church from 1988 to 1995, spoke in the morning service June 2.
Grace Baptist Church is “a community of people who love and care for and serve and build up each other,” Bill told the congregation. He thanked the church for its “missional presence” to the congregation, the church’s neighbors, and missionaries around the world. He encouraged the church to continue that missional focus for the next 60 years and beyond.
“We praise God for His goodness and faithfulness to us,” the church says. “We are also thankful for those who have come before us who have faithfully shared the love of Christ and the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
